DLI surfaces
Coordinate model
Stable semantic addresses and explicit identity rules.
Relations
Typed links with source attribution and lineage.
Query and replay
Read historical state and reproduce the path to a candidate result.
No-write boundary
Query, recall, and model access cannot silently mutate canonical state.
Future federation
A research direction, not a present production or interoperability claim.

The original event remains
In the research model, nothing arrives alone: a record can retain time, source, participating identity, relationships, context, and uncertainty without being dissolved into a consolidated belief. Supported recurrence may suggest a candidate route; a consequential exception can remain as scar evidence—a reason to inspect, not a judgment.
The original encounter, its attribution, and any contradiction remain available. What may become shorter is the path through the evidence, and any durable default still requires a separate governed transition.

Distributed claim boundary
| Supported now | Not yet demonstrated |
|---|---|
| Compact local representation in bounded experiments | Cross-node delta transmission or bandwidth savings |
| Exact reconstruction and tested local query equality | CPU or energy savings across independently governed peers |
| Attributable identity, lineage, and candidate recall surfaces | Resynchronization, interoperability, or crystal/scar synchronization |
| Authority-null read and replay boundaries | Autonomous truth, promotion, action, or production authority |
